Sade Roush
I am a Practicum Student Intern at San Diego State University, where I am pursuing my master’s degree in Early Childhood and Family Clinical Counseling and working toward LPCC licensure. Before entering the counseling field, I spent several years as a special education teacher. During that time, I developed a deep respect for the unique ways children experience, understand, and communicate with the world around them.
I believe every child deserves a space where they can feel safe, seen, and accepted just as they are. I am especially passionate about using play therapy to connect with neurodivergent children, children with disabilities, and children who may find it difficult to express themselves through words. My goal is to meet each child where they are and use play, creativity, and connection to help them understand their feelings, grow in confidence, and discover their own strengths.
Earning the trust of a child and their family is something I value deeply, and I feel honored to walk alongside families as their children grow and heal. My clinical work is supervised by Sarah Reyes, LCSW (CA #105531)
