Maria Cardoza Pinto, ASW

Maria Cardozo Pinto is a bilingual (Spanish/English) associate clinical social worker (#116535) with 7+ years of experience working with children and families. Her experience with children began as a teacher and later transitioned to therapeutic mental health services, where she worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and non-profit agencies. Maria is especially passionate about working with children with autism spectrum disorder and has extensive experience and training in behavior modification. Using her background in child-parent psychotherapy, Maria helps children who have experienced trauma heal by strengthening their attachment. Using other evidence-based modalities like CBT, DBT, and somatic therapy, Maria also supports children experiencing anxiety and depression by helping them develop the tools necessary to manage their symptoms and chase their dreams.
