Maaedeh Soltani, AMFT
Maaedeh Soltani is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and has been working in the mental health field for over six years. Born and raised in Iran, she studied psychology and social science before emigrating to the U.S. Maaedeh holds a Master’s in Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University. Maaedeh is currently pursuing her license as a Marriage and Family Therapist and anticipates being independently licensed in the state of California in late 2024.
Maaedeh has worked with marginalized groups from diverse cultural backgrounds, with specific experiences in community mental health and in school-based prevention and early intervention programs utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and evidence-based curriculum. Utilizing trauma-informed care therapy for nonprofit organizations with families, she has provided crisis intervention for parents and children aged three to 12 years old. Among her many specialties are treating kids and adolescents with behavioral concerns, traumas, anxiety and depression by implementing art and play therapy interventions.
Maaedeh conducts sessions at the Encinitas office and via telehealth.
