Jessica Anderson, LCSW
Jessica Anderson is a Licensed Clinical Social worker (CA #61295) and was raised in San Diego, California. She has a BA in Child Development and received her master’s degree in Child Development from Sarah Lawrence College and a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at New York University. Jessica has been working as a clinical social worker for twenty years in several different environments such as community non-profit organizations, outpatient clinics as well as hospital settings for children and adults. Working in these various capacities allowed her to be exposed to many different behavioral health challenges which helped inspire her to shift her work to the private practice setting.
Jessica feels strongly that all people have the ability to heal themselves, but guidance and support can be imperative when life stress, loss, traumatic experiences, and biological predisposition throw someone off track. She values the opportunity to assist people in their learning, adjustment and healing. She understands that we are complex human beings that spend most of our lives figuring out how to be human, how to live in this wild world, how to navigate relationships of all kinds, how to experience great love and fierce pain and keep going. Jessica can work with children and adults, individuals and couples. She has focused on assisting those struggling with depression and anxiety, trauma grief and loss and those working in the medical field, military personnel, maternal child health (pre-partum/postpartum individual or couples). Jessica is trained in EMDR and utilizes this therapy as a way to help clients process complex trauma.
Jessica conducts sessions at the Encinitas location and via telehealth.
